The iTero Element Scanner is a state-of-the-art digital impression system that lets Dr. Andre Amarante capture a detailed 3D model of your teeth and gums without a mouthful of goop. Beyond being far more comfortable than the old putty based impressions, it’s faster and can offer a clinical endpoint.
Throughout the scan you can breathe and swallow just as you normally would, and if you need to sneeze or want to ask a question, we can simply pause. The 3D model the scanner produces is what we use with all invisible braces dental services to show you what your new smile might look like.
3-D Cone Beam CT (CBCT) Imaging
Our Evanston, IL office is one of the few dental practices with an on-site 3-D Cone Beam CT Scanner. Its three-dimensional views let Dr. Andre Amarante thoroughly assess and plan each patient's treatment before any procedure begins. Where a traditional CT scanner falls short, this 3-D system uses Cone Beam technology to deliver precise, crystal-clear images.

Digital Radiography
Digital x-rays are the newest technology dentistry uses to take and archive dental x-rays, and they significantly reduce the amount of radiation compared to traditional dental x-rays. The technique captures a digital picture of teeth with their supporting bone structures, storing the images on a computer here in our dental office. Because you and Dr. Andre Amarante can view those x-rays instantly and enlarge them, spotting dental problems and gauging your dental health becomes far easier. Dr. Andre Amarante then uses this information to create an individualized treatment plan.
Intra-Oral Camera
About the size of a pen, our intra-oral camera photographs the teeth and supporting tissue, a wonderful addition to dentistry today. The digital images it creates are stored on a computer and shared with our patients, so they can join us in the "co-diagnosis" of problems with their dental health.
